What is Construction phase in software development

In the construction phase of the project I had to transition the requirements to the development as well as the testing team, I was responsible for testing the development progress and also assisted the test lead in creating the master test plan, since we were a little short on testing resources.

I was also responsible for writing test case and test scripts for the reconciliation modules, any queries regarding the requirement that arose from the development or the QA team were answered by me and also I have to go back to the requirements and update my BRD and its dependent use case(it can be traced in a traceability metrics).

I was also responsible for signing off testing traceability metrics and after successful completion of the test run we mark the completion of construction phase of the project, any change request or defects in the construction phase where tracked in the clear quest and deferred to the next iteration. In the elaboration phase of the project I was responsible for facilitating the JAD sessions, where I interacted with the application developer, walked through the BRD and FRD and created the technical specification document supplemented with the UML diagrams, I also worked on data mapping document which basically had the source to target data mapping for the reconciliation module. This marks the completion of the elaboration phase. (Tools: excel sheet)

Transition or Deployment:
